During this time of year, most of us take time to reflect upon where we are in life. We compare ourselves to our friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, etc...and most of the time we are not satisfied with the results. The contentment we are looking for seems so elusive, in it’s place are frustration, anger, doubt, worry, and fear.
Good or bad we, live the life we deserve. John Wooden, perhaps the best basketball coach of all time, said it best, "Don't measure yourself by what you have accomplished, but what you should have accomplished with your ability.”
We are all guilty of compromising and settling for less than what is best for us: eating fast food, buying crap we don’t need on credit, or wasting good money going to see Twilight. The choices and decisions you’ve made got you here. What are you going to do different?
Mark Twain said, “I can teach anybody how to get what they want out of life. The problem is nobody knows what they want.” It all starts with knowing what you want.
What do you want your life to mean? What do you stand for? What gets you up in the morning? Take the time to examine what is really important to you. Start changing the choices you make to fit the vision you have for your future.
Your life is either a BOLD STATEMENT or a faint whisper....
See you on the mat,
Coach Epps
We love the Pride MMA family! My son Brody loves coming to class, loves learning and thriving. The coaches and staff are so welcoming and truly care about the kids they teach. They challenge the kids and strive to make them better both in martial arts and as human beings. I would recommend this facility and it's staff to anyone looking for a program for themselves or their children.
Great coaches and great opportunity for kids to gain confidence in their own abilitiies
It is an amazing facility, both clean and conducive to the classes offered. They also have a good selection of resources to help teach and reach personal goals. They have a diverse collection of courses available, with class times that can accommodate any schedule. Their staff AND members really keep me motivated and obviously want to be there. They are inviting and have a great attitude and philosophy. "Pride" is the perfect name for this perfect collection of souls. I'm proud to be a part of their family now - and sense of family is obvious. I encourage anyone to challenge themselves and be a part of this team.
